Hello and welcome to the Online Therapy Room. We are Rhianna and Melissa, and we created this space to offer you a supportive and empathic environment to access the support you need from the comfort of your home.
We have both been working as psychological therapists for over 9 years and currently work in the NHS as Cognitive Behavioural Therapists. We met in 2014 when we worked for the same NHS service and formed a strong connection very quickly. It has always been a shared goal for us to offer therapy in a way that is completely in line with our values as therapists. We hold shared values of offering a warm, open and collaborative space where we can help you to work towards your individual goals.
It has also been really important to us to offer therapy in an easy to access format, which is why we have decided to offer therapy from our team online. Having your sessions online provides a variety of benefits including no travel time, an ability to access support from the same therapist no matter where you are in the world and being able to attend sessions from anywhere you feel comfortable.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM ONLINE THERAPY
Online therapy is conducted through video call. In recent years there has been significant research into the effectiveness of online therapy vs. in person therapy. The outcome of these research studies has shown that there is no significant difference in effectiveness between online and in person therapy.
There are also significant benefits to online therapy, over traditional in person therapy. You can have your sessions anywhere you feel comfortable, and there is no travel time involved. Furthermore, you can access our support wherever you are in the world.
We have found that all of these benefits are extremely helpful in order to find the space and time to attend therapy, without this impacting on your other commitments.
